Nail of the day

Today's nail of the day; I applied three coats of OPI's Mod About You, and then toped of with Essie's Lux Effects Top Coat in A Cut Above.  I love how this combination turned out.  I reminds me of a perfect rosegold with glitter. Currently Mod About You is my favorite nail polish, and I will continue wearing it and changing it up with a different effect.

Picture doesn't do justice.  Looks messy, but in person it doesn't look that way.

WHAT NAIL POLISH COMBINATION ARE YOU WEARING??

TheBalm Nude'tude Naughty Palette

Happy Wednesday Everyone!!! Today I am so excited because I got a package in the mail that I have been waiting for.  A recent purchase from http://www.thebalm.com/ just arrived. TheBalm used to be sold at Sephora, however when I was on the hunt for this palette, Sephora has discountinued TheBalm Cosmetics sold at their store.  I am not sure what is the reason for.  So I just decided to purchase from the companys website.

Where to buy:
$36.00

I am so happy with this purchase.  These eyeshadows have a great formula, almost buttery soft texture, and highly pigmented.  I love this palette for a great neutral go to look or even smoke it out for a more dramatic affect.

I applied these eyeshadows over a eyeshadow base (MAC Paint-Pot)

I applied these eyeshadows without a base.

I applied these eyeshadows with no base.

Nail of the day

Hello Beautifuls!!! I hope you all enjoyed your weekend.  Seemed to go by fast as usual.  Over the weekend I stopped by Cosmoprof (Professional Beauty Supply store for licensed professionals), and was overwhelmed with the new and beautiful Nicki Minaj collection for OPI nail polish.  The colors were amazing.  So without further-ado, I am wearing one of the new collections nail polish paired with an older one. Also, as always for base coat, china glaze's strengthen base coat, and top coat.

Physicians Formual Mineral Wear illuminating Pebbles of Powder

Happy Friday everyone!! Hope you all are enjoying your day. Today's post is all about a new product I came across during CVS's 'get it before it's gone' sale.  A wide range of brands and products marked down to welcome new collections of products coming out.  When I saw "Physicians Formual Mineral Wear illuminating Pebbles of Powder" I instantly thought it was a great dupe for higher end brands that have a similar product (pebbles of illuminating).  Also very pleased that this product is Talc Free, Hypoallergenic, Frangrance Free, Paraben Free, Dermatologist Aprroved, and Non-Comedogenic. It is a three in one product; corrector, illuminator, and powder. The pebbles range of colors; pink (brighter), green (tones down redness), and yellow (warmth).

(retails for $12.99-$13.99 depending on store)
**can be found at ulta, cvs, and anywere that physicians formual is sold**

How I apply and use this product
I absolutely love this product as a highlighter.  I take a small powder brush, and swirl the brush in and apply to my cheekbones, down the bridge of my nose, and right above my lip.  It gives a pearl like finish and makes my skin glow.  When the sun hits, the glow isn't overwhelming, like bam in your face highlighter, but a nice pearl.

Nail of the day

My new found discovery and favorite nail polish is Essie.  Now I know I am a little late on Essie, but I finally gave in a got a few to try, and absolutly am in love.  The formula of the polish is not too runny, and not too think... so in between would make that PERFECT! I would have to admit, I used to not care much about nail polish, or even if my nails chipped, I wouldn't care.  But!! This is now changed.  After becoming a nail polish addict/junkie whatever you want to label it as, I make sure my nails are in perfect condition.

So to start off....

I applied on coat China Glaze Base Coat to my nails...

Then I applied two coats of Essie's Nail Lacquer in Cinchilly
***Note***
Essie's Nail Polish is very pigmented (opaque), two coats is all you really need at most.

Finally, to top it off I applied one coat of Essie's Multi Dimension Top Coat in Set in Stones

Both of these nail polishes together make a beautiful combination, and look glamerous.  I have gotten so many compliments on how gorgeous my nail polish looks..

If you have a great combination, or a favorite essie polish, please let me know.

Thanks!

I'm Back!!!

Happy New Year!!! Hope everyone had a safe and exciting holiday! I am pleased to announce that I will be back to blog posts and making videos.  During November/December of 2011 school (finals) and work (busy and stressful in retail)  became too much and stressed me out to the point I couldn't write any posts for you all.  I am very sorry about that. So hopefully the long await was worth it.  I will try to post everyday, if not at least every other day.  I will also start uploading videos soon, so stay tuned for tutorials, reviews, favorites, etc.

Product Rave

Happy Thursday!!! The week is almost over :) Sorry about the long delay in blog posts.  I have been super busy between work and school, but I am going to try harder and be on a more prominate schedule so I can give you my advice and I can learn from you with your feedback of what your favorite product raves are.

Today's product rave is my absolute favorite leave in conditioner and that is 'It's a 10 : mircale leave-in product'.  I have used many brands and types of leave in conditioner and haven't found the 'one' must have all the time if you will product. .....UNTIL.... I went into my pro cosmetology supply store and purchased this product. The bottle itself is dark blue with white writing.  However, normally for breast cancer awareness month brands normal just change the product color to pink to help support as well.  So the one I purchased was the pink bottle with white writing. It also was on sale for a discounted price rather than the normal packaging, so that is why I purchased the pink versus the blue packaging.

 The  product says that is does ten things instantly to your hair that are;
1) Repairs dry, damaged hair
2) Adds shine
3) Detangles
4) Controls frizz
5) Seals & protects hair color
6) Prevents spllit ends
7) Stops hair breakage
8) Creates silkiness
9) Enhances natural body
10) Flat iron spray and themal protector

I have to say that this product does NOT lie about what it say it does.  Ever since I have started using 'its a 10' my hair has been in its best days of life if you will.  I have not tried any other of the proucts they have to offer, but diffantly will the next time I go to my beauty supply store.  I used to use Bed Head's Ego Boost and loved that but instantly stopped when started noticeing the blooming afffects 'its a 10' had on my hair.

I absoluting love how this product is a spray versus a pump because I feel I don't waste as much product and it doesn't get my hands wet with product all over my hands felling.  I highly recommend this prouct to anyone!!!

If you have a favorite leave in conditioner or just a general product that you can't stop raving about let me know in the comments below.  I also love to read your feedback and love looking into new products.

 Till' Next Time :)
